Wedding rumor has it that the only person people notice is the lady in the white dress. Not true! it's the groom's big day too! GF Bridal has extended their couture range to include imported quality suits and tuxedos for grooms, groomsmen, wedding guests and formal dances.
Look and feel great on that special occasion with the perfect suit. We offer a personal service, taking into consideration your needs. G F Bridal will assist you with choosing the appropriate style and fit, taking the proper measurements (for the groom and groomsmen) and deliver a quality product with a perfect fit.
Try to choose your tuxedos at least three months before the wedding. This will give you time to have proper fittings and make any necessary adjustments. This is your big day and you want everything to look just right.
We are pleased to offer discounts to Corporations and large groups. For orders of 10 or more suits and/or gowns, G F Bridal is able to offer a substantial discount.
Please contact Rienie to discuss your requirements.
The perfect suit, suits YOU!
Most importantly, the groom should be comfortable! The jacket should fit comfortably around the neck and shoulders and should button easily. When trying on his tux or suit, we always recommend sitting with the jacket buttoned to make sure it still fits comfortably.
The groom's shirt should also fit comfortably around his neck, shoulders and waist. His cuffs should be one-quarter to one-half inch below his jacket sleeve. The shirt should be white and the tie should be pale grey, with shoes and socks matching the colour of the suit. All adult male members of the wedding party should complement each other. Smart Lounge suits are also suitable for register office weddings.
If he chooses to wear a vest, it should fall just over the trousers waistband. Vests usually have a slide strap to adjust it to their waistline. It should fit comfortably across the chest and the buttons should line up to the front of his jacket.
The groom's trousers should button comfortably - you don't want to pop a button when you sit down! Many trousers have waistbands that are adjustable. The hem of the trousers should come just over his shoe tops.
Talking about shoes - formal shoes should always be worn with a tuxedo. Black dress socks and shoes should be worn with black or dark-colored tuxedos. White and ivory shoes should be worn with white and ivory tuxedos. If a shoe requires laces, they should be strung in a horizontal fashion.
A boutonnière should be worn on the left lapel and should tilt slightly outward. The groomsmen may wear pocket squares instead of a boutonnière.
Since we have extensive advice for our brides on how to make the most of your figure, here are a few tips for men!
Tall & Slim:
The tall and thin groom can wear just about anything (we're talking about tuxes and suits here!). He can wear just about any color and style. If the groom is very thin, he can try a double-breasted jacket. This will give him a little extra padding in the chest area. If you want to look broader in the shoulders, ask for more padding in the shoulders. A pleated shirt will also look great on a very thin groom.
Short & Slim:
You should NOT wear double-breasted jacket - you'll end up looking lost in it! A three-button jacket with pleated trousers or tuxedo pants is a great look. For a broader look in the shoulders, choose a notched or peak lapel. The pant leg should always break slightly on top of the shoe and angle a bit downward in the back. Bow ties are the best choice for a smaller frame. Choose elegant, understated vest and tie colors and patterns that will not overpower.
Tall & Broad:
The tall and broad groom should also stay away from the double-breasted jackets. It will just make him look more husky. He should also avoid pleated shirts. Choose a vest rather than a cummerbund (the cummerbund will draw attention to his waistline and the vest will hide it). Opt for a single or two-button style, with the first button quite low, giving the torso a leaner look.
Short & Broad:
The short and broad groom should wear a single-breasted jacket. A one-button or two-button jacket that closes near his waistline is a perfect choice. Once again, if he has a large waistline, he should wear a vest rather than a cummerbund. Padded shoulders will also draw the attention away from the waistline up to the shoulders.
